ASSIGNMENT 1A

SKETCHING - FRUIT (ARC30305)

INTRODUCTION :

For this assignment, it is a group assignment that conducts during the tutorial class. It helps us to identify the object and draw it in a short time. 

ITDRAWING: About

First of all, we were to choose to group up with 5 people from the same tutorial section. We have to choose our group members wisely as we were doing the assignment in class. Therefore, I was grouped up with Sylvester, Imran, Dylan and Louis. 

Then, tutors were to assign each group a fruit to draw. Therefore, my group is group 15 and we were assigned to draw pomegranate. 
So the day before tutorial, we have to prepare our material. We have to get a pomegranate, 2 A1 boards, papers and pencils. 
When the day comes, we were given 2 hours to draw. We have to draw 1 top view, 1 side view, 1 bottom view and 2 sections for detail drawings and orthographic drawings. Then, we choose which view we want to draw. I have chose to draw the top view as my drawing was not that good. After getting everything done, we have to compose everything on the A1 board.

REFLECTION

Throughout this assignment, I have learned that we have to tolerate each other and help others when they meet difficulties. Although we might have met some obstacles, but we pulled it through. 
Next, I have learned that communication is a key. It is important to understand our members rather than judging them. 
Lastly, practice makes perfect. I personally am not an artistic type of person, but I did practice to draw better and I guess I did pulled it out?

INTRODUCTION :

This assignment is a group project, This assignment helps us to manage our works equally and improve our teamwork. Besides, it helps us to practice how to draw orthographic drawings.

ITDRAWING: About

Moving on for this assignment, we were to work with the same group. Besides that, we were to choose a furniture in the school compound to draw an orthography drawing.
Therefore, we chose to draw a whiteboard. We got the measurements together and we helped each other throughout the day. We draw the drawings in the scale of 1:5 and each of us in charge of one view. As for me, I drew the side view. 
Lastly, we compose everything in an A1 board and Sylvester in charge of the line weight as he is the best among us.

REFLECTION

Throughout this assignment, I have learned that teamwork is really important. Without it, the project will not be successful. Besides that, make time for group assignment is also very important. I know that everyone has their own schedule going on, but sacrifice a day to get our assignment done is more important.

ASSIGNMENT 2

DRAWING BASIC SPACE (ARC30305)

INTRODUCTION :
This assignment is an individual project. It helps us to be observant on the objects' perspective and improve our drawing techniques and details. 

ITDRAWING: About

First of all, we observed the space we were assigned to. For me and my previous group 15 members have been assigned to E-quarium level 1 same goes to other groups such as 13,14 and 16. Each respective groups in charge to measure one area so that we could get the measurements more efficient. Once we got our measurements, we have to draw 1 plan view, 2 elevations and 1 section to generate orthographic drawings individually. The scale has to be confirmed with a respective tutor. For our E-quarium, we used scale 1:25.

As for the tutorial group, everyone was assigned to one tutor to allow everyone to have responses from tutor as our FNBE has a lot of students. Therefore, I have been assigned to Miss Ann. EVery tutorial class, I will show my progressions to Miss Ann and I have got good feedback from her. Her feedback was really useful and it encouraged me to do better.

Once my progression drawings were approved by Miss Ann, I have redrawn it on the proper A3 drawing papers and outlined it. For every drawing, we have to draw the title block and we have to write in architectural lettering. Then, we have to spring bind it in an A3 booklet with proper front and back cover. On the front cover, we have to include ARC30305 INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING, ASSIGNMENT 2: Drawing Basic Space, FNBE August 2018, Semester 2, SABD, Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, Student Name, Student ID and Tutor’s Full Name.

REFLECTION
Throughout this assignment, I have learned how to manage my time properly as I have completed my project on time and accordingly to the assignment timeline. 

Next, I have learned how to draw properly and neatly. Besides that, I know that I have failed to show the line weight, but I know that showing the line weight is really important as it shows the depth of a drawing. 

Lastly, I have improved my communication skills with my tutor and friends. I do seek help by asking how should I do it and what should I not and also I will pick up some ideas said by our tutor.

FINAL ASSIGNMENT

Orthographic Drawings Of A Tiny House Project (ARC30305)

INTRODUCTION :

This assignment is an individual project. It allows us to critical thinking on how to design a house and also how to draw detail drawings. 

ITDRAWING: About

First of all, we have to plan our floor plan before choosing the furniture on a scale of 1:50. On the floor plan, we have to include at least 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, and 1 toilet. We were also allowed to add a balcony or a patio in our floor plan. Therefore, after getting an idea of what theme we want for our house, my friends and I went to Ikea to get the catalog and also some physical pictures on how to design a house. We spent the whole at Ikea just to get the right measurements for the furniture. Besides, our tutor for this assignment will not be the same as the previous assignment. So for this final assignment, my tutor is Miss Indrani.
So during the tutorial sections, I will show her my floor plan and pick up the suggestions she gave me.

Once my floor plan was approved by my tutor which is Miss Indrani, I will proceed to my 1 elevation and 3 sections drawings on the scale of 1:50. I have chosen sections that show the most furniture and also elevation to best show my house. 
Lastly, we have to choose a fitting, furniture or fixture to draw a detail drawing. As for the detail drawing we have to include a plan view and elevation(s). Miss Indrani suggested us to draw sliding door for our detail drawing but due to the space left on my paper and the scale, I could not draw the sliding door. So as a backup, I have drawn a movable chair in the scale of 1:10.

During the submission, I started to redraw everything on an A2 paper and started to outline it according to what Miss Indrani taught. On the bottom of the A2 paper, we have to include Taylor's logo, name, student ID, project name and tutors. After everything is done, we have to put both of the A2 papers in a clear file including with the progression drawings.

REFLECTION

Throughout this assignment, I have learned how to design a house. We have always learned how to design a house since young, but we never draw it properly and nicely. From this, I have learned it and also I have learned that when we draw one thing, we have to think about others too. For example, is it convenient? is it suitable? 
Next, I have learned how to control my pressure on the line weight as I did not show a lot in the last assignment. It really did show a different.

Lastly, I am able to learn a lot from Miss Indrani and my friends that are more knowledgeable than me. I have learned that living room always next to the dining area or so.
